Shine My Ride were asked to carry out a full valet on a 55-plate VW Golf GTD in Burnham-On-Sea. This car had been slightly tinkered with, having the front end from a Golf GTI, and the back end from a Golf R32.
Externally, the car was in very good condition, but the interior was fairly grubby. So once the exterior was fully cleaned and dry, the interior was comprehensively valeted, with the seats and carpets shampooed, and all the surfaces cleaned.
The exterior was polished do heighten the gloss and bring extra depth and clarity to the paint colour, and then it was protected with an all-in-one polish and sealant. The trim was dressed, as were the tyres.

BMW Z4 - Gloss Enhancement and Paint Protection near Axbridge
Shine My Ride were asked to quote on a 59-plate BMW Z4. The customer has recently bought the car, but was disappointed in how it looked, as it had not been looked after by the previous owner. As the car only had 10000 miles on the clock, this was a shame.
So it was decided that we would machine polish the paintwork to restore the gloss, and then protect that new finish with a ceramic paint sealant. Why a ceramic sealant? A number of reasons, but principally:
So the first job was to clean the car and remove any bonded contaminants such as tar spots etc. Once dry, we could set about polishing to restore the gloss. The paintwork was machine polished to enhance the depth and clarity of the paintwork
Once the polishing stage was complete, the exterior paintwork, glass and trim were given an IsoPropyl Alcohol (IPA) wipedown to remove any remaining polishing oils ready for sealant application.
The paintwork was protected with Concours Car Care's Ceramishield Pro ceramic sealant, the black trims with GTechniq C4 long term sealant, and the glass with GTechniq G1 glass sealant. The tyres were dressed, and the vehicle was complete. The customer was very happy with the result, and has booked his ten year old Range Rover for the same treatment.
